What they can offer

Advice and support to staff on aspects of safety pertaining to working environments. They can offer training on manual handling as directed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Secondary prevention, by the treatment and advice relating to accidents occurring in the workplace.

Statutory Duties

  • Monitor accidents in the workplace as part of the HSE regulations and monitor substances and their use under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations.
  • Reporting of Injuries Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences under the 1985 Regulations. (RIDDOR)
